Internal Window Shutters v External Window Shutters
Unlike external window shutters like those found in hotter counties such as Greece and Italy, Plantation Shutters are fitted to the inside of your windows. External window shutters are used to trap cold air inside the building before the outside temperature rises each day.
Unfortunately, in the UK, we don't have the hot weather often enough to worry about that. However, we do need to keep heat in when it is cold outside. Internal Window Shutters help create another pocket of air trapped between the window and the shutter which acts in the same way that double glazing traps air between the panes of glass.
Our shutter types include: Classic (MDF), Grovewood (Real wood), Vienna (ABS). Classic and Grovewood shutters are perfect for rooms such as: Bedrooms, Sitting rooms, Hallways, Studies, and Kitchens. Vienna shutters are designed for rooms with high humidity and water such as bathrooms, shower rooms, en-suites, and kitchens.
How to make your own Internal Window Shutter

- - Enter your measurements and click through the steps. Select your options on each step. For example, you can pick what colour you would like the hinges to be
- - Enter a name for the kit such as Bedroom 1 or Kitchen
- - Once that is all done proceed to the checkout page or click back to the Build A Shutter page to add another shutter kit to your cart.
